Well, aside from my previous comments about Valentini’s ego not allowing anything to be seen from before 2012, there’s also something else that happened to the show once he and his pal Ron took over. I know in speaking to family and friends of mine that watch GH and have for many years, that they would be interested in seeing that. I think there would be a lot of viewer interest in them airing some of the many classic episodes from the 80s, 90s and early 2000’s. GH has such a rich and glorious history from the past 57 years, it would seem a shame to limit themselves to only the past 5 years. Or is it possible that Frank Valentini is making the choice not to air any shows from before he was the executive producer? I would be very interested to learn more. Again, not sure if there is any truth to that. I read on another site, and I don’t know how true this is, that it has to do with the fees they would have to pay to air those old episodes, royalties to the actors that appeared on those shows, royalties for the music rights, that sort of thing, which would make it cost prohibitive to air.
